How to Apply

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body established under the Competition Act, 2002. It is responsible for promoting and sustaining competition in markets, protecting consumer interests, and ensuring freedom of trade in India.

Post Details
CCI invites applications for its Internship Programme aimed at providing practical exposure to Competition Law and its application. Selected interns will work with different divisions of the Commission under the supervision of designated officers and gain hands-on experience in regulatory and policy-related matters.

  • Conduct research on Competition Law and related regulatory issues
    • Assist in analytical and policy-oriented assignments
    • Work under the supervision of officers in various divisions of the Commission
    • Prepare and deliver a presentation/report at the end of the internship
    • Support research and case-related work involving competition law matters
  • Indian Nationals only
    • 2nd and 3rd Year students of a 3-Year LL.B. Programme
    • 4th and Final Year students of a 5-Year Integrated LL.B. Programme
    • Students entering the 4th Year of a 5-Year Integrated Law Course
    • LL.M. Students
    • Must be enrolled in a recognized institution with exposure to Competition Law
    • Students having a placement offer in hand are not eligible to apply
  • Interested candidates must apply online through the official CCI Internship Portal. Applications should include:

    • Duly filled application form
    • Recommendation from the concerned institution
    • Statement of Purpose (approximately 200 words)

    Mode: Offline / In-Person
    • Honorarium: ₹15,000 per Month
    • Certificate upon successful completion of the internship
    • Internship commences on the first working day of the month
    • Up to 15 interns are generally selected every month
    • Internship is academic in nature and does not guarantee employment with CCI
