About the Opportunity

Balaji Telefilms is hiring a Legal Professional for its Mumbai office. The role involves handling legal and commercial aspects of content production, talent agreements, licensing arrangements, intellectual property matters, and regulatory compliance within the media and entertainment sector.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with actors, directors, writers, music artists, and production personnel.
  • Review development, production, and co-production agreements.
  • Handle content licensing and syndication contracts.
  • Assist with OTT, satellite, theatrical, and overseas distribution agreements.
  • Advise on intellectual property and copyright-related matters.
  • Coordinate with production, finance, marketing, and business teams.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting media and entertainment businesses.

  • Educational Qualification

    • LL.B. from a recognized university.

    Experience

    • Preferably 2–5 years PQE in:
      • Media & Entertainment Law
      • Contract Drafting & Negotiation
      • Intellectual Property Law
      • Corporate Legal Practice

    Candidates with prior law firm, production house, OTT platform, or in-house legal experience will be preferred.
