How to Apply

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Government of India, is responsible for formulating and implementing policies, programmes, and legislation aimed at the welfare, development, and empowerment of women and children across the country. The Ministry works on issues relating to child protection, gender equality, nutrition, and social welfare.

  • Conduct research on issues relating to women and child welfare.
  • Assist in policy analysis and programme evaluation.
  • Undertake pilot projects and micro-studies assigned by the Ministry.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and research papers.
  • Interact with Ministry officials and stakeholders.
  • Contribute inputs for policy formulation and programme implementation.
  • Study government schemes and initiatives concerning women and children. 
  • Women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in or associated with a university, academic institution, or non-academic institution.
  • Candidates should preferably belong to non-Tier-I cities or rural areas.
  • Age limit: 21 to 40 years. 

Interested candidates must apply online through the official MWCD Internship Portal. Applications for each batch are accepted between the 1st and 10th of the month, two months before the commencement of the internship. Candidates selected once under the programme are not eligible to apply again.
