The Serious Fraud Investigation Office is a statutory multi-disciplinary investigation agency under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. SFIO investigates serious corporate frauds, financial irregularities, forensic matters, and offences under the Companies Act, 2013. 

  • Investigating corporate fraud and financial irregularities
  • Assisting in prosecution and legal proceedings
  • Handling corporate law and regulatory matters
  • Conducting forensic and compliance-related investigations
  • Drafting legal reports, notices, and investigation documents
  • Supporting inter-disciplinary investigation teams
  • Coordinating with government agencies and regulatory authorities 
  • Primarily open to serving Government officers/officials from:
    • Central/State Government
    • PSUs
    • Autonomous/Statutory Bodies
  • Relevant experience in:
    • Corporate Law
    • Investigation
    • Capital Markets
    • Banking
    • Taxation
    • Forensic Audit
  • Maximum age: 56 years (as per notification)
  • Private/direct candidates are generally not eligible for deputation-based posts
