The Chair on Investment Treaty Arbitration at NLU Delhi has been established to promote research, capacity building, and policy development in the field of international investment law and arbitration.
Undertake advanced research on issues arising from international investment treaties and investment treaty arbitration
Author research papers, books, policy briefs, or reports on investment treaty and international commercial arbitration
Collaborate with universities, academics, research institutions, and think tanks in India and abroad
Assist in managing and administering the Certificate Course in International Commercial and Investment Treaty Arbitration
Organise academic events, workshops, lectures, and discussions related to investment treaties and dispute resolution
Contribute to policy development and capacity building, including participation in international forums such as UNCITRAL Working Groups
Prepare annual reports on research, teaching, and advocacy activities of the Chair
LL.M. from a recognised Indian or foreign university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade
Proven proficiency in international commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration
Prior research experience, including field work and data collection, is desirable
Demonstrable research interest or track record in investment treaties, international arbitration, or related interdisciplinary areas
